Pencil drawing is a medium well-suited for fine detail.
It allows for delicate lines and, with controlled pressure, seamless shading. But more than anything, it is a familiar and accessible tool for everyone.
The idea that "a simple pencil can create such intricate expressions" often comes as a fresh surprise.
And that very sense of wonder—isn't that what gives pencil drawing its true value?

subtly colored Gallery- 微彩色

ほんの少しだけ透明水彩で彩色し、鉛筆で描き込んだ作品

鉛筆は、基本的にグレーの中間色のみで表現する画材です。

そこに透明水彩でわずかに色を加えるだけで、印象が大きく変わることは想像に難くないでしょう。

また、支持体（紙）も透明水彩に適した水彩紙を使用することで、作品全体の雰囲気がさらに引き立ちます。

Pencil drawing is fundamentally a medium that relies solely on shades of gray.
Yet, adding just a hint of transparent watercolor can dramatically transform its impression.
Furthermore, by using watercolor paper suited for transparent watercolor, the overall atmosphere of the artwork is enhanced even further.

white and black Gallery - 白と黒

背景黒でコントラストを高めた作品

鉛筆画で表現できるトーンは、黒鉛の黒さから紙の白さまでの中間色です。

より強いコントラストを生み出すには、鉛筆の黒を超える、さらに深い黒を持つ画材が必要になります。

本作品では、鉛筆の粒子感と相性の良い墨やガッシュ、パステルを背景に用い、細密な鉛筆描写と組み合わせています。

白と黒が織りなす世界を、ぜひご堪能ください。

The tonal range of pencil drawing extends from the deep black of graphite to the pure white of paper.
To achieve stronger contrast, a medium with an even deeper black than graphite is necessary.
In this series, I combine finely detailed pencil work with backgrounds created using sumi ink, gouache, and pastel—materials that complement the texture of graphite.
Please immerse yourself in the striking interplay of black and white.

その他の作品

これらの作品は、普段の制作とは異なるアプローチで生まれた、実験的な技法や独自の表現を取り入れたミニ作品です。

2cm角の鉛筆画で極限に挑戦したり、アクリル絵の具の下地に鉛筆を重ねたり、黒い紙に白パステルで描くなど、通常の制作ではあまり使わない手法を取り入れています。

個展では、他の作品とは異なる雰囲気が「面白い」と好評をいただくことも多く、独自の魅力を持つジャンルとして人気があります。

また、使用する画材や技法が作品ごとに異なるため、同じものを再び制作することはほぼありません。

These pieces are created through a unique approach, incorporating experimental techniques and distinctive expressions.
For example, I explore the extremes of pencil work with 2cm-square drawings, layer pencil over an acrylic underpainting, or draw with white pastel on black paper—methods not commonly used in my standard works.
At exhibitions, these pieces often receive praise for their unique atmosphere, offering a fresh contrast to my other works. They have become a sought-after category with their own distinct appeal.
Since each piece involves different materials and techniques, it is unlikely that I will create the same work again.
